The aim of the course is to gain insight into the literary opus of the great Austrian writer Marie von Ebner Eschenbach (1830-1916) in the socio-historical, cultural and literary European context.

1. -to evaluate the literary work of Marie von Ebner-Eschenbach in the given socio-historical, political, cultural and literary context
2. -competently discuss the characteristics of Marie von Ebner-Eschenbach's literary opus
3. -critically evaluate the artistic and literary value of the literary works
4. -discuss some of the literary motifs and topics that emerge in the author's opus
5. -explain the author's contribution to literature and society, in the context of promoting humanity towards marginalized groups
