"PSYCHOLOGY IN TRANSITION: ADAPTING TO RAPIDLY CHANGING WORLD" conference and Academic Staff week in Psychology

We are pleased to invite you to the first international scientific and professional conference PSYCHOLOGY IN TRANSITION: ADAPTING TO RAPIDLY CHANGING WORLD, organised by the Department of Psychology, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Split, which will be held on 19th September 2025 in Split, Croatia.

The main aim of the scientific-professional conference is to explore how psychological theory, research, and practice can address the challenges posed by the fast-paced transformations in our global society. To participate in the conference as a presenter, it is necessary to submit an abstract, which will be evaluated by the members of the Scientific Committee.

Important dates:
•    Abstract submission deadline: April 1st, 2025
•    Notification of acceptance / rejection: May 1st, 2025
•    Registration deadline: June 1st, 2025.
•    Submission of the full paper: September 15th, 2025
Participation at the conference is free of charge.

STAFF WEEK OPPORTUNITY
For all those who wish to extend their stay in the beautiful city of Split, further network with fellow researchers, and discuss current research topics, the Department of Psychology has organized the International Academic Staff Week in Psychology, taking place from September 17–19, 2025, at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Split.

Enrollment in the online program of Croatian language for foreigners
The Center for Croatian Studies Abroad is now receiving applications for online classes of Croatian Language. The  online classes will start 24 February 2025. Applicants need to send the following: 1. Completed and signed application form 2. Copy of passport or other personal identification document. 3. Copy of the payment transaction (amount corresponding to the selected category in the application form) – after our confirmation that the course is organized *NOTE: The classes will be organized if at least 5 participants enroll in a specific level . The registration documents need to be sent  by e-mail ( cehas@ffst.hr )  by 14 February 2025. SUMMER SCHOOL OF CROATIAN LANGUAGE AND CULTURE 2025
The Center for Croatian Studies Abroad is  now receiving applications for the  Summer School of Croatian Language and Culture 2025 .  The School starts  June   30 th  and runs  until July 18 th   which is a total of three weeks of classes, including field trips. Applicants need to send the following: 1. Completed and signed  application form . 2. Copy of the passport or other personal identification document 3. Copy of the  payment transaction. NOTE: All applicants are subject to the Summer School tuition fee of  570,00 EUR . The registration documents need to be sent  to the programme coordinator Mr. Marin Sarić:  msaric@ffst.hr   by 13 June 2025 , and the placement test for applicants with prior knowledge of Croatian will be done online. Erasmus incoming students in spring semester time schedule
The timetable for the summer semester (based on your OLAs) is available here.   Please note that the attendance is obligatory. In case of overlapping, students can attend 50% of the lessons in each course, after obtaining a written authorization form the teaches of both courses. For Croatian Language for Foreigners and Croatian Culture and Civilisation , please contact cehas@ffst.hr. For Department of Psychology , please contact professor Bruno Barać (babarac@ffst.hr).  The courses which are regularily taught in Croatian are not included in the timetable , as students need to contact the teachers in order to arrange the consultations. Students who speak Croatian and will be attending lectures in Croatian language need to open the departmental web pages in Croatian and look for the Timetable (raspored sati ljetni semestar).
